I-beams and channels belong to the long products. They are manufactured according to the following specifications:
- Beams – per GOST 535-88
; - Hot-rolled steel channels – per GOST 535-88 ;
- Roll-formed steel channels – per GOST 11474-76
.
Range of sizes for these products complies with the following norms:
For I-beams with inner edges slanted:
- standard - GOST 8239-89 ;
- special - GOST19425-74 ;
For I-beams with wing edges parallel - GOST
26020-83 and
STO ASCM 20-93 the standard of Nizhny Tagil metallurgical plant;
Hot-rolled channels:
- standard - GOST 8240-89
- special: for automotive industry - GOST
19425-74 , for railroad car building - GOST
5267.1-90
Roll-formed steel channels:
- equal channels - GOST 8278-89
- non-equal channels - GOST 8281-80
